Electric rates set to go down

DPUC approved new lower rates for electricity users in CT. CL&P customers should see approx 8% reduction while UI customers will see a more modest 1.5% dip. Read more here.

Still, you may find lower rates from an alternative provider. Click here for a list of providers and prices.

Connecticut Energy will lower your CL&P or UI electric bill every month for homes and business in CT Energy Discount. Electric rates set to go down will lower your electric bill even more.

It is great that deregulation is working. The constant pressure of companies that compete against each other to drive down prices will drive down all prices over time. I am not a big fan of most government regulation but this seems to be working!
